First Presbyterian Church Missions

The Mitten Tree
will be up  in November

The Mitten Tree will return in November.
We are asking for scarves, mittens, gloves, hats, and even old coats.
These items collected will be used to help Mexican children who have moved to Nebraska in the Lexington School district. More information to come.

Coins for Calvin

We continue to ask members to support
“Coins for Calvin” Mission Project

by simply dropping any loose change
they may have in to the jar located
in the sanctuary.

And again the Mission Committee is
also looking to try to match those
funds collected in the jar.

For the next three months the donations
received will go to the Holdrege Food Pantry.
As many of you know, a great many
hands have participated in our
local food pantry. We are blessed
in a community such as ours to have
such a wonderfully located and well
stocked pantry that assist so many people
in our community. So please
give generously with your coins!

Operation Christmas Child

It is that time of year again!
We are asking members to once again begin putting together shoeboxes for the Samaritan’s Purse

Operation Christmas Child Project.

We will have brochures and information on how to fill a shoe box out in the fellowship hall in a couple of weeks.

Our Church has  agreed to be a drop off site for  Operation Christmas Child Project. Drop off week will be November 16-23. So we encourage our members to start packing their shoe boxes early!
